Increase Blood Circulation - Lower Cholesterol
It is your duty to yourself to try and stay healthy. In fact, no one is going to do this for you. They can't. When we're young and still living at home, we look to our parents for examples, but once we're out on our own, it's all on our doorsteps. I readily admit this can be challenging at times. It's not always easy or convenient to eat properly, avoid junk foods and exercise regularly. One thing you can do to live a long and healthy life is to focus on how to increase blood circulation in your body. Many of the lazy routines we get into don't help with this.
A proper fitness regime is mandatory if you wish to increase blood circulation throughout your body. Cardio workouts are known for this. Highly active exercises such as running, aerobics and using an elliptical machine are great because they boost your heart rate. This increases blood flow, burns fat and calories, all at the same time. That's two results most people should be looking for. My favorite way to increase blood circulation is with stretching exercises.
When I was young, we stretched every time in my Karate class. This was something I got accustomed to and now appreciate. Not only does this increase blood circulation, but it also strengthens your limbs.
I'm sure that we all know what it's like when a foot or hand does not get proper blood circulation. We say, ‘it fell asleep’. This is an improper metaphor and if we were to allow this to go on long, it could result in permanent tissue damage.
So, when speaking about our blood, it's important to know this is our life source. We need it to circulate constantly through our bodies, or there would be dire consequences.
If blood flow becomes a problem beyond your control, you should see a doctor. There are many medications that can help increase circulation. One common concern is that of cholesterol. This substance cause plaque that clogs arteries, therefore, preventing good circulation. Be sure to keep your cholesterol in check as you age.
